He is the coolest cat you can find. I petted him in the shelter and he came to me, bumping his head against my hand, looking for more petting, and then I knew he was the cat for Angie and me.

He is very handsome. With much patience, and a slow introduction, you can get them to at least co-exist if not be friends (but usually, they can become friends). Pearl and Sugar took a LONG time but I was just patient. Remember, a furnished room is still better than a shelter, so don't worry about the amount of time. Even now, Sugar and Pearl are companions. They even play, but it has specific "rules" they seem to have set up. I just kept separating them everytime someone got aggressive. I always kept them separate when I couldn't be there for quite a long time. Pearl took the longest of any cat I've ever had to learn to behave. But she did learn. I'm so sorry about your Virgil, but glad you gave this sweet fellow a home.

Oh, remember, treats treats treats. Look for some freeze dried chicken treats at the pet store. Most cats LOVE them. Or, Whisker Lickin's tender treats. Those go over quite well. The more "good" things they experience in each others company the more they learn it is a good thing. Only break out a treat they BOTH like when they are BOTH together so they associate it with each other.

Give your resident kitty lots of extra attention so she knows it isn't that you will ignore her.

Son preciosos.

Yo no me pude traer a mi gatita, por las prisas, la tiene mi madre mientras.

Suerte con esa adaptación.

Un saludo
